I have studied Arabic at many different places in several countries, and Shababeek truly stands out in every aspect. The speed they were inproving my Levantine Arabic during the 2 months I was with them is unmatched. What convinced me the most about their approach: It is 100% fun and zero tiring or frustrating. If you have previous knowledge in Arabic they will tailor the lessons individually for you. You will be put in the appropriate level and they will provide you with the content and materials you need to make progress. Shababeek has been the most consistent part of my life and Jordan and has acted as a home base amidst all the transition. It's a place where I've built most of my closest relationships, with Arabs and others foreigners alike.

The skill level of the coaches is consistently high and regardless of your individual goals, motivation, or study habits, they can help you grow into the culture holistically. I'm the kind of person who doesn't enjoy too much structure or plans and prefer to learn by experience and due to the expertise and relationality of the staff, my Arabic has grown dramatically without me feeling like I've "studied". I know many others who love the structure and learning the "ins and outs" of language, and they've also been greatly helped by Shababeek's style and standard of teaching.

If you've never learned a foreign language before or if Arabic is one on a long list, you will be surprised at how natural, enjoyable, and (dare I say) easy Shababeek makes the process.

Updated 2025: Studying at Shababeek helped me reach my goal of reaching an Advanced High level of proficiency in spoken Levant Arabic. As a mom of young children, many would say that’s an unachievable goal and I point to the professionalism and resources from Shababeek as a major reason I was able to achieve this goal after two and a half years in Jordan. Highly recommend!

I'm really grateful for the opportunity I've had to study at Shababeek. They are truly professionals at what they do and it is a great gift to be able to focus all my attention on learning Arabic. They have a lot of resources to tailor exactly to what you want to focus on and are flexible to adjust the program to what you need. By studying there full-time the last 1.5 years I have progressed from literally not knowing a word of Arabic to be able to have conversations, build relationships and have a lot more cultural understanding of the community here in Amman Jordan. Definitely recommend to anyone desiring to learn the Levant Dialect.

Shababeek is such a special place! After studying here for 6 months, I’ve loved my teachers and classes. We’ve learned how to make local dishes and get to celebrate birthdays and holidays with our teachers. It’s a warm environment and a FUN way to learn Arabic.

Update: after a year and a half of learning with Shababeek, I feel more confident making my way around town and more culturally aware. I’ve enjoyed the wide variety of language coaches and perspectives they offer.

Thanks for the five star review. We do consider ourselves a research facility — a ‘lab’ of sorts. We analyze high frequency errors to determine if they are developmental versus persistent — especially if made by advanced proficiency learners. This helps us evaluate the severity of key learner difficulties and implement strategic targeted instruction to mitigate those challenges. We want learning to be as effective as possible. Which is why our approach focuses on both fluency AND accuracy.

If you want to find a place to learn spoken Levantine Arabic don't look any further. Shababeek is your school. The teachers are very well-educated, the curriculum is utterly well-structured to maximise your progress and the administration is responsive and always ready to support. Plus everyone is really sweet and makes you feel comfortable. I wouldn't want to miss out the experience.

The ONLY center you need to learn to SPEAK Arabic!!

They’ve thought of everything! The system and structure allows you to focus on the important stuff, speaking Arabic, while the staff and teachers manage the logistics and resources to help you succeed!

IF you want to learn to speak Arabic, you need Shababeek in your life!!

I have been at Shababeek for almost 3 months now, and I am amazed at the rate I’m at learning Arabic. The teachers (aka nurturers) have all been amazing, fun, patient, and dedicated to my learning and success to acquire the language. The staff is all encouraging and accommodating to the needs of their clients. I am happy to learn at Shababeek and would recommend it to others!
